The original layout didn’t respond to the requirements of the new owners with long corridors, small rooms etc. The proposal creates new flexible and open spaces increasing the natural lights of the house and the impressive views to the mountains. The living space is articulated around a big dark and timber furniture with kitchen, library and general storage. This element also creates use over the long corridor on the other side. The main suite has a unique piece of dark marble with a double shower in the centre of the space. The materials used are very neutral but the central dark and timber element provides the warmth and the contrast required. Indirect artificial lighting over walls and furniture creates a very special image during the evening. Big aluminium sliding doors give a very intense relationship between internal and external space.
